Goyo Georgieva Blanco de Albillo y Malvasía is a natural white wine coupage of the Albillo and Malvasía varieties produced by the Goyo García Viadero winery in Castilla y León, Spain.

The grapes used to make Goyo Georgieva Blanco de Albillo y Malvasía come from vineyards located in Gumiel de Mercado, in the province of Burgos, lying at 900 metres above sea level with sand and pebble soils.

The majority of this coupage is the Albillo variety, complemented by the aromatic Malvasía. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the winery where they macerate with their skins for approximately 35 days and ferment spontaneously with their native yeasts. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, ages with its fine lees and is finally bottled without filtering or adding sulphites.

Goyo García Viadero, the producer, comes from a winemaking family who own the renowned Valduero wineries, in Ribera del Duero, and whose passion and care encouraged him to work to recover old vines, cultivate them respectfully and make wines that are faithful representatives of the area’s flavours and aromas.

Goyo Georgieva Blanco de Albillo y Malvasía 2018 is a white wine with a complex and intense nose that offers floral and citrus notes, hints of high mountain herbs and, as it is oxygenated, it develops to reveal aromas of nuts and honey. On the palate it is light and vivacious with a good structure and breadth. The meaty touch offers fruity notes of golden apple and hints of pastries. A persistent and very gastronomic wine.
