Goru Organic is a red wine produced by the winery Ego Bodegas in Jumilla, D.O.Jumilla.

 

A few kilometres from the historic centre of Jumilla we can find Ego Bodegas. This project was created with the aim of working with the best vineyards in the area and of achieving the best grapes to produce high-quality wines, loyal to the variety and representative of the area.

Ego Bodegas has 25 hectares of their own vineyards, most of them planted with the local Monastrell variety, ungrafted, and with an average age of 50 years.

The climate in the area is continental, with the influence of the Mediterranean to the East and the plateau of La Mancha to the West.

 

Goru Organic is a wine made from Monastrell, from vineyards with official organic certification. The vines are an average of 25 years old.

Harvesting is performed manually and mechanically. The facilities, as well as the winemaking process, guarantee the separation of organic harvests from the conventional ones. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature so that it does not exceed 26°C. They go through maceration for around 15 days. This wine is aged in American oak barrels for 2 months.

 

Goru Organic is a juicy, intense and honest wine. It is an extremely clean wine that shows us all the characteristics and potential of the variety.

To speak of Jumilla wine is to really refer to the Monastrell grape variety. In recent years Jumilla has undergone an impressive transformation. Once used as concentrated and highly alcoholic wines to give strength to weaker wines from other regions, the wines from Jumilla have managed to change this reputation, now enjoying prestige from all over the world. Flavourful wines, with body and concentrated. As well as red wines, the region is also known for their rosés, again produced with the Monastrell variety.
