Gómez Cruzado Crianza is a red wine produced by Gomez Cruzado in Haro, La Rioja, under the D.O.Q.a Rioja.
The winery was founded in 1886 in the famous station neighbourhood of Haro, where you will find the classic and most renowned wineries of the Rioja Alta. The winery’s vineyards are divided among three zones of the Rioja Alta, in the Sierra Cantabria, Nejerilla and Alto Najerilla, and all are cultivated using sustainable viticulture.
Gomez Cruzado Crianza is a blend of two different grape varieties: Tempranillo (80%), taken from the Sierra Cantabria and Garnacha (20%), taken from the heights of Najerilla. Pre-fermative maceration is carried out for 3 days in truncated cone shaped stainless steel tanks, with daily pump overs. The wine is then aged for 12 months in American oak barrels.
Gómez Cruzado Crianza is a red wine which seeks to show off the character of the fruit of the Garnacha, rather than the character of the wood.
