Gérard Marula Les Gruches is a natural, wood-aged red wine made by Gérard Marula with the Cabernet Franc variety in the Loire region (Vin de France).
In 2005, Gérard Marula settled in Chinon, at the western end of Touraine, with just three hectares of vineyards and the desire to produce unique, artisan wines. He is a country vine grower whose work is completely manual, he does not use anything that could disguise the nature of the wine itself. His Cabernet Franc wines are a natural pleasure.
Gérard Marula Les Gruches comes from a very unique vineyard with heavy and cold soils. The vines are ecologically cultivated with no chemical treatments that could harm the natural balance of the terroir. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, Gérard Marula Les Gruches winery is vinified with minimal intervention. To do this, it firstly ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and then ages in wooden barrels. Finally, the wine is bottled without being filtered, clarified or adding sulphur.
Gérard Marula Les Gruches is a Cabernet Franc with a very unique expression, an impressive aromatic complexity and it also ages very well in the bottle.
