Ganko is a red wine from the D.0 Rioja produced by the winery Olivier Riviere.

Ganko is a blend of the varieties Garnacha (80%) and Mazuelo (20%). The grapes originate from very old wines between 60-80 years old located in Cárdenas (Rioja Alta), and planted at an altitude of 600 meters.

This traditional winemaking process using whole bunches and local yeast. The varieties are fermented separately in containers that can hold up to 500 and 3000 litres, subsequently are macerated for 20-30 days.

Lastly, Ganko is aged for 16-18 months in used French barrels of 300 and 600 litres capacity (75%) and new oak (25%).
