Ganevat Chardonnay La Baraqueis a Chardonnay white wine from the AOC Côtes du Jura produced by Anne et Jean-François Ganevat.
Anne et Jean-François Ganevat is a family winery located in Combe Rotalier that cultivates 8.5 hectares of vineyards in Côtes du Jura. The family’s relationship Ganevat with vines goes back to 1650. They have been practicing organic agriculture since 1998 and produce some 40 wines in order to capture the essences of the land with their 17 local varieties, among them Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Savagnin, Trousseau and Poulsard. They always ferment with native yeasts, without filtering or clarifying and without adding sulphites. They have old vines in different terroirs that they have been working biodynamically for years. They are one of the benchmark wineries in the region, with Jean-François Ganevat being considered "vigneron de l'anée 2018" by the Revue du Vin de France, a prestigious French wine magazine.
Ganevat Chardonnay La Baraque is a natural wine from a plot that ferments with native yeasts in barrels, and undergoes a prolonged ageing for at least three years in the same barrels. It is bottled without clarifying or filtering, and with no added sulphites.
