Freixenet Vintage Reserva is a brut nature cava from the D.O Cava produced by Freixenet. This is a blend of Macabeo and Parellada.
The Macabeo grape is harvested during the first half of September. Parellada, is slightly later, in October. The grapes are placed in small containers or boxes that can carry up to 25kg.
Freixenet Vintage Reserva uses only the free run juices, no type of additional forces are used.
The must, after resting for a few days, is transferred to various fermentation tanks.
The selected yeasts are placed in the stainless steel tanks to begin the fermentation process at a controlled 12ºC for 10-15 days.
After the wine is racked several times and is treated, the final blend is performed. Freixenet Vintage Reserva is then bottled.
Freixenet Vintage Reserva is aged in the bottle for 15 additional months.
