Francis Boulard Les Murgiers Brut Nature is a profiled champagne with aromas of white fruit on the nose accompanied by floral and citrus notes and nuances of dried fruit. On the palate it is broad and expressive with a fine bubble and reaffirms the flavours and aromas from the nose that are characteristic of a Pinot Meunier champagne.

Characteristics Francis Boulard Les Murgiers Brut Nature

Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Francis Boulard Les Murgiers Brut Nature is a single-variety Pinot Meunier champagne produced by the Francis Boulard winery in Champagne, France.

Francis Boulard Les Murgiers Brut Nature is a blanc de noirs champagne, which means it is a sparkling white wine made with a red variety. The grapes used to make it come from vineyards with clay and limestone soils in the Marne Valley. The vines have an average age of 30 years old.

For this wine, only “la cuvée” is used, the must from the first pressing, which undergoes alcoholic fermentation in different sized barrels and with native yeasts. The resulting wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and batonnage of the fine lees every ten to twelve days. Francis Boulard works according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture, so the champagne is bottled on “fruit days” of the lunar calendar that is followed in biodynamics.

Francis Boulard Les Murgiers Brut Nature is the first top of the range champagne from this winery and perfectly embodies the style that Francis Boulard wants to give all the sparkling wines he makes. A very well made champagne, with a long and elegant aftertaste.

The Raymond Boulard & Fils house was created in 1980 and following Raymond Boulard's death, his three sons took over running the winery. In 2009 they decided to go their separate ways and Francis Boulard, together with his wife Jeanne and daughter Delphine, created the Francis Boulard champagne house. They are the ones who began working with environmentally friendly and biodynamic agriculture so that all their champagnes can be made in the most natural way possible.
