Characteristics Finca La Colina Sauvignon Blanc
The Donatos, a winemaking family located in the Valladolid town of La Seca (Castilla y León) since 1870, were among the first to believe in the quality of a grape previously unknown for making white wines; Verdejo. A century later, with the creation of the D.O. Rueda in 1980, their commitment to this native variety was fully recognised and now their Vinos Sanz winery is known as the oldest winery in this region.
Their Finca la Colina Sauvignon Blanc white wine comes from a selection of the oldest Sauvignon Blanc vines planted in 1980 on the estate. These are low-production old vines that are harvested and selected by hand to achieve maximum varietal expression. The result is a wine that expresses the wide range of flavours and aromas of the fragrant Sauvignon Blanc.
