Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Fillaboa Finca Monte Alto is a white wine from the D.O Rías Baixas produced by the winery Fillaboa. This is a monovarietal of the grape Albariño, a typical varietal of the region.

The grapes used for Fillaboa Finca Monte Alto originates from a collection of 12 plots of land located around the winery, its name is Monte Alto.

The land is compiled up of 6 hectares and a very interesting microclimate.

The grapes, after arriving at the winery, are fermented at a controlled temperature.

When this process is finished, the must of Fillaboa Finca Monte Alto is aged for 12 months in stainless steel containers with periodic shaking or remuage.

Fillaboa, "good daughter" in Galician, is a great and traditional field from the cadastre of Pontevedra. This small stone palace surrounded by vines paints a magnificent scene.

To discuss Fillaboa does not necessarily mean to revert back to the past, but time in the world of wine is, too often, the only way reconfirm the beginnings that forged much of the history of the grape, Albariño, and county, Contado de Tea, in the DO Rias Baixas. Also, we cannot ignore that the best wineries are usually always home to unique and individual vineyards and a special wine, both of which have usually been handed down the generations.
Rías Baixas wines would not be where they are today without the native Albariño grape variety. Although red wines are also produced in Rías Baixas, practically 100% of Rías Baixas wines are white. Among them, the vast majority of them are made with the Albariño grape. As well as young wines, fresh and aromatic, the region also makes wines aged in the barrels, complex wines with great personalities. Albariño wines can either be single varieties, or be part of a blend with other characteristic grapes of the region: Treixadura, Loureira Blanca and Godello.
