When you think of Provence in France, what comes to mind straight away are images of lavender-covered fields, hilly villages and refreshing hills on the Mediterranean coast. Bucolic landscapes that inspire the greatest artists. We don't know if William Shakespeare was talking about this wine region when he said “These flowers are like the pleasures of the world”, but what we can be sure of is that projects like Figuière in the AOC Côtes de Provence make a wonderful collection of wines bathed by the sun and a love for Provence.
Their rosé wine, Figuière Première de Figuière Rosé, comes from the 125 hectare vineyard owned by the Figuière family. A cuvée of Cinsault, Garnacha Tinta and Mourvèdre varieties that are cultivated according to the principles of organic agriculture. When the grapes are harvested and carefully selected, they reach the exceptional heights of the “Première” label. In the winery they are destemmed and gently pressed by pneumatic press at low temperature and fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at 17ºC.
All of this work results in Figuière Première de Figuière Rosé, a high-end Provençal rosé, which, thanks to its aromatic richness and mineral power, is pure inspiration.
Figuière Première de Figuière Rosé 2019 is a fresh rosé wine with aromas of stone fruits and tropical fruits accompanied by notes of Provençal herbs and light hints of nutmeg. On the palate it is fresh, light and delicate. A wine with marked notes of red fruits and a long, slightly salty finish.
