Figuière Confidentielle

With the motto “luxury comes from simplicity”, a new generation of top winemakers dedicated to their terroir are combining tradition and innovation in the AOC Côtes de Provence. One of these great Provence wine ambassadors is Alain Combard, a pioneer in the production of fine rosé wines who embodies the principles of craftsmanship, terroir and patience. At his family winery, Saint André de Figuière, he makes the most of everything he learnt during his time in Chablis (Burgundy) and creates collections of signature wines where he combines the terroir of La Londe with the mastery of the great Burgundy white winemakers.

One of his wines is Figuière Confidentielle, a single-plot wine made from his own vineyard on the French Riviera. There, he has Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Garnacha Tinta vines planted on pure schist soils and grown for over 40 years under organic certification. Production is limited to very small quantities and once the grapes are harvested, they undergo an exhaustive selection process. In the winery, the grapes are destemmed before pressing and fermentation takes place at a constant temperature in stainless steel tanks to protect all the intrinsic qualities of the grapes.

The result is Figuière Confidentielle, a wine bathed in the Mediterranean sun whose splendour lies in the simplicity of expertise. A high-end rosé, a true reflection of an exceptional region.
