Enate Rosado is a rosé wine produced by the winery Enate in Salas Altas (Huesca), D.O.Somontano.
Enate is a winery founded in 1991 that has quickly become one of the references in the Spanish winemaking scene.
The vineyard of the winery, of around 500 hectares owned by them, is distributed throughout the municipalities of Salas Altas, Salas Bajas, Cregenzán and Basbastro. They are located at approximately 600 metres of altitude on low fertility calcareous soils. The climate in this area is continental, temperatures are very cold in winter and the summers are quite warm.
Enate defines itself as a winery of our times, where the passion for tradition and the necessary modern techniques live together.
Enate Rosado is a wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, from their own vineyards.
The harvest is performed by hand. Once the grapes arrive at the winery they go through maceration with their skins until the bleed-off of the must. After a cold static settling process at 8ºC, the must ferments with selected yeasts in stainless steel deposits at a controlled temperature of 16ºC. Before bottling, the wine is clarified, stabilised and filtered.
Enate Rosado is a fruity, balanced and fresh wine. As the producer says, it is a wine with the sole of a white and the body of a red.
