Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

El Tirachinas is a Mencía variety red wine made by Vinos A Tresbolillo in the D.O. Bierzo.

Vinos A Tresbolillo is a project of the wine distributor Alma Vinos Únicos next to the Madrid wine shop La Tintorería. An initiative that includes Pilar Cruce, Maribé Revilla, Flequi Berruti and Raúl Pérez, and which aims to sell representative wines from the most prestigious wine regions in Spain. Wines from Denominations of Origin like Bierzo, Rías Baixas or Ribera de Duero, which are all named after children’s games as a common feature.

The El Tirachinas vines are located in the town of Valtuille, in the heart of Bierzo (León). Middle-aged strains planted in mostly clayey-calcareous soil. The harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach their optimum ripeness.

In the winery, part of the El Tirachinas grape is vatted with its stalks and alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of no more than 28ºC.  It is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.

El Tirachinas is a juicy, bright and fun red wine that is perfect for enjoying on any occasion, without breaking the bank.

Bierzo wine is on the rise. It is a region defined by its small scale work, with plots scattered around, very old vines, artisan work of the small scale wineries, and the character of their principal variety, the Mencía grape, which produces fresh, fruity and delicious wines. Although the region is well known mostly for its red wines, it also produces white and rosé wines. If the red wines here are defined by the Mencía variety, then the white wines here are defined by the Godello. Godello grape has great aromatic potential, as well as an excellent balance between alcohol and acidity.  Despite the great potential of El Bierzo, its rise in the wine world would not have been possible without two people: Raúl Pérez and Ricardo Pérez. Two great winemakers who in little time have been able to produce critically acclaimed wines from the Bierzo region.
