El Cosmonauta y el Viaje en el Tiempo is a red wine from the D.O.Ca Rioja produced by El Mozo Wines with the Tempranillo, Grenache, Viura, Malvasia and Torrontés varieties.

El Mozo Wines is a family winery founded in 1975. Today the third generation of the family is in charge of the project. At the time they were working in different sectors, but for various reasons they returned to their origins and decided to showcase their legacy of family vineyards.

In particular, the vineyard for El Cosmonauta y el Viaje en el Tiempo is located in Lanciego at 612 metres above sea level. Its soil is typical of La Rioja, being clayey, calcareous and ferrous. It is a vineyard that was planted in the 1940s. To produce El Cosmonauta y el Viaje en el Tiempo all the grapes are vinified together. Whole grapes with stems are used to perform a semi-carbonic maceration, thereby obtaining more fruity aromas. They are produced following the principles for natural wine, working without additives or added sulphites.
