Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons is a single-variety Pinot Noir red wine produced by Domaine Rossignol-Trapet in the prestigious AOC Beaune 1er Cru/Côte-d'Or denomination, in Burgundy (France).
Domaine Rossignol-Trapet is a prestigious Burgundy winery that was set up by Jacques Rossignol de Volnay and Mado Trapet. Today, their two sons, Nicolas and David Rossignol, are continuing the legacy by moving with the times. They have made the vineyards biodynamic and are producing finer and purer wines.
The Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons wine comes from a peak called Les Teurons. This is a high and special area whose name means “round lands”, after the deep and easy-to-work soil found here. 1.17 hectares of stony terrain that, thanks to the location, is protected from the winds, always has good sunlight and the grapes ripen quickly.
Once the ripe grapes have been manually selected in the vineyard, they go through a second selection on the selection table. Most of the Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons grapes are then destemmed to macerate and ferment for 2-3 weeks. The wine then ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, 10% of which are new.
Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons is a delicious Pinot Noir cuvée from one of the best terroirs in Beaune. A deliciously fruity and elegantly polished wine.
