Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec is a biodynamic, barrel-aged white wine made from the Chenin Blanc variety by Domaine Huet in the AOC Vouvray denomination, in Loire (France).
Domaine Huet is a French winery known for producing great white wines. Sec, Demi-Sec, Moelleux and Moelleux 1ère Trie (“first selection”) wines that come from the three main crus on the estate. These terroirs are worth admiring and are cultivated according to biodynamic principles, following orders from the winemaker Jean-Bernard Berthome.
Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec comes from Clos du Bourg, a cru with Première Côte limestone, shallow and stony soils. The vines are cultivated according to biodynamic agriculture using organic and herb-based treatments. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the grapes selected to make Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks until the wine has less than 4 grams of residual sugar per litre. It then ages in oak barrels.
Domaine Huet Vouvray Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec is a Vouvray-style demi-sec. A dry wine where the natural sugar and the acidity of the Chenin variety work together perfectly.
