Domaine Bobinet Hanami

Of the four seasons of the year, in spring Japan turns pink with the cherry blossoms. A beautiful landscape which invites observation and has given rise to the celebration of Hanami, which means "looking at the flowers". It’s a celebration where Japanese people flock to parks and gardens to look at the cherry blossoms and has become an element of Japanese culture which fascinates the world. It’s with this same fascination that Sebastien Bobinet and Emeline Calvez observe their vines. Old vines inherited from Sebastian's grandfather at the foot of the Loire (France), treated with the utmost respect and minimum intervention, which are producing natural wines which are causing a sensation in the Loire Valley (France). In the search for something rare, something different and difficult to achieve, something that leaves us speechless, the wines produced by this visionary couple in their Domaine Bobinet winery hit the nail on the head.

The estate, which includes a cellar excavated at a depth of 500 m, is composed of old vines planted on limestone soils. With the utmost respect for nature and its juice, they make wines such as this Domaine Bobinet Hanami, a Cabernet Franc red wine which is grown organically and, once harvested, vinified with the utmost respect in order to preserve the energy of youth and fluidity. First, skin maceration and carbonic maceration are carried out and then the wine is aged in vats for 4 months.

With a natural working philosophy from start to finish, Domaine Bobinet Hanami is a declaration of intent. A different, spring-like wine from the AOC Saumur-Champigny, which comes from contemplation and respect for the vineyard.
