Costers de Cornudella is an ecological red wine aged in wood made with the Garnacha Tinta and Cariñena varieties by Companyia Vitícola Sileo in the D.O. Montsant (Catalonia).
Companyia Vitícola Sileo is made from a desire to interpret a unique and exceptional terroir in the town of Cornudella de Montsant, in Montsant. This dream came true in 2013, at the hands of experienced Penedès winegrower, Agustí Torelló along with his son and sister.
Costers de Cornudella comes from old vines lying at an altitude of between 500-700 metres above sea level. These vines are aged between 20 and 80 years old and planted on calcareous, clay-calcareous and slate soils. The vines are cultivated using organic agriculture and no chemical products. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, the Costers de Cornudella grapes first ferment in stainless steel tanks with long macerations and then the wine is aged for 12 months in 500-litre French oak barrels and 600-litre clay amphoras.
Costers de Cornudella is a coupage that expresses the Montsant soils with elegance and warmth. A Vino de Villa full of nuances and freshness.
