Characteristics Conca d'Oro Valdobbiadene Prosecco Extra Dry
Conca d'Oro Valdobbiadene Prosecco Extra Dry is a sparkling prosecco wine made with the Glera variety in the DOCG Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore by Conca d'Oro.
With years of experience and a prestigious reputation, Conca d'Oro is well-known for its prosecco. These are sparkling wines made with the "Charmat" method that are a lighter and cheaper kind of sparkling wine, and that are typically made in the area between Conegliano and Valdobbiadene (Veneto).
The Conca d'Oro Valdobbiadene Prosecco Extra Dry vineyards are planted in a privileged area between the Dolomites (Eastern Alps) and the Adriatic Sea. This area has its own microclimate with a strong contrast between day and night temperatures, which has a great effect on local varieties. They use conventional agriculture and the grape is harvested when it reaches optimum ripeness.
When the grapes reach the winery, they are pressed and the base wine is made through a first fermentation at a controlled temperature. When the desired pressure is reached, fermentation is stopped and stabilised. The Conca d'Oro Valdobbiadene Prosecco Extra Dry second fermentation takes place in the same stainless steel tank with sugar (less than 18 g / l) and selected yeasts. It is then refined and bottled.
Conca d'Oro Valdobbiadene Prosecco Extra Dry is a fresh, fruity, low-percentage and complex sparkling wine.
