Colgin IX Estate Red 2016 is a red wine that offers deep aromas of cherry and chocolate, graphite and incense on the nose. Its interesting complexity continues to provide notes of juniper, sage and jasmine. On the palate it is pure magic. Its soft tannins cover the palate and a subtle acid note brings harmony and freshness while the flavours expand to create a fragrant and exceptional finish.

Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Colgin IX Estate Red is a red wine coupage of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot varieties produced by the Colgin winery in the AVA Napa Valley in California, USA.

Since 1992, the Colgin winery has been dedicated to making elegant and deep wines from the most thoroughly selected grapes. Production is practically artisan, where every detail is meticulously thought through and where the vines and wines are treated with great care to achieve the maximum expression of the Napa Valley wine history.

So exquisite is his work that, despite his young age, the famous critic Robert Parker named the Colgin winery as one of the 50 best wine estates in the world in 2005.

The vines where the Colgin IX Estate Red come from are located by Lake Hennessey, on top of an isolated mountain in Pritchard Hill. Their altitude varies between 350 and 410 metres above sea level, the soils are predominantly rocky and volcanic and the vines enjoy a very pleasant climate. It is not surprising then that the Colgin IX Estate Red wine, reminiscent of the classic coupage of the great Bordeaux wines, is described as radiant and perfect, as Robert Parker described the vineyards it comes from as “the closest thing to wine nirvana I have ever seen”.

In short, Colgin IX Estate Red is a wine for special occasions, a deep and dazzling wine that offers a whole experience of sensations and emotions that allows you to enjoy the beauty of perfection.
