D.O. Cava (Catalonia)
The heir of a winemaking tradition dating back to 1551. Codorníu owes its name to the first document registering the family's winemaking profession. A cava made from the traditional grape varieties, Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada, with an ageing time of at least 9 months in the bottle.
Codorníu is a winery that has over 500 years of history devoted to producing cavas and wines, and that currently owns more than 3,000 hectares of vineyards.
