Clos Montblanc Xipella is a red wine from Catalunya produced by Bodega Clos Mont-Blanc. It is a blend of  Cabernet SauvignonSamsó and Syrah.

The soils from which the grapes come are varied. These can be clay or slate. Once harvested, the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of between 25º and 28º.

With regards to maceration, the wine is aged in barrels of French, American and Hungarian oak for 12 months. Once this is finished, the blend is made.

We recommend aerating the wine before enjoying it.

Clos Montblanc is the project of the Carbonell Figueras family, who have a great wine tradition in the area of Conca de Barbera. This is a rich and balanced land that meets the optimum conditions for growing grapes.

Warehouses are located in Barberà de la Conca, near two emblematic places in the history of Catalonia, the fortified city of Montblanc and the Poblet Monastery. A land rife with history and traditions. Where the Cistercian monks settled, almost a thousand years ago, with the firm intention to pursue the path towards perfection.
For many Catalan winemakers, the DO Catalunya is one of their best weapons for marketing their wines to the international market, since the image of their wine is significantly enhanced by a ‘Denominación de Origen’, which can certify a wines origin and quality. One of the initial positive effects is the fact that great wines are associated with a larger geographic area within the peninsula, in the same way as the Bordeaux region in France.  For many producers, the DO Catalunya is a clear sign of the regions commitment towards a model of quality. This is especially beneficial for Catalan wines that previously did not come under another ‘Denominación de Origen’.
