Clos Mogador 2016 is a deep, concentrated and powerful wine. Yet another vintage of one of the great Priorat wines. An impetuous but balanced nose, with aromas of ripe red fruit, and with elegant toasted notes of aging over a distinguished mineral base note. On the palate it is full, deep and very lingering.
At the attack, it is broad and powerful. A lot of volume. Structured and profound. Excellent acidity with fine and noble tannins. Very long finish and extremely persistent. Intense.
Red ripe cherry color with violet reflections. Very high, deep and bright. Dense tear that marks the glass.
Intense, complex, changeable and extraordinary on the nose. At the attack, it shows abundant and concentrated aromas of black fruit, vibrant, explosive, which gives way to flowers and balsamic notes. This is only the beginning. With the passage of time creamy shades appear with roasted Mediterranean herbs…everything is always escorted with a wonderful minerality from Priorat. It is worth giving the time to enjoy it on the nose.
In the palate, we found a powerful and consistent
red wine, highly bulky, structured, wide and deep. Its abundant notes of fruit, its excellent acidity and its surprisingly refined and marked tannins, provide it with an unctuous mid palate which leaves an infinity of nuances. Long and extremely persistent finish. Very wide.

It has intense, fragrant and complex nasal aromas with an impressive evolution in the glass. Progressively, its milky hints, its deep mineral and nice toasted nuances get noticeable and then turn to mellow roasted notes, aromatic herbs, balsamic nuances and earthy hints.
It is worth taking some time to enjoy its nose.

A great wine from
Priorat with a pure expression of the grapes and the
terroir. It is very elegant, intense and concentrated with has a great personality. From the very first moment, this highly bulky wine coats the palate with its silky texture. It is perfectly structured and balanced. Its huge notes of fruit jam are wrapped in an explosion of spices provided by the good wood in which the wine was aged. Serious mineral background. Excellent and balanced acidity which provides the wine with a good freshness which compensate its high powerness. Great and tasty tannins and an extremely long and persistent finish.
An unforgettable wine. It is already delicious but over the time it will turn fabulous.
Deep and very dark, almost black cherry colour with purple reflections. Clean and bright, well covered wine with a very high robe. Abundant elegant tears.
It is captivating from the very beginning. On its intense and complex background of spices, with plenty of very nice and seductive notes of vanilla, pepper, mocha, cocoa and milk... which appear slowly and wrap the rest of the aromas, an explosion of intense and very pleasant notes of red and black stewed fruit appears along with elegant violet aromas, a subtle but intense balsamic touch (eucalyptus) and hints of the forests which surround the vineyards and hints of the licorella soils in which the vines are grown.
Deep, fleshy, structured and concentrated. Clos Mogador is a wide wine, with lots of volume and a great body. Great tasty, elegant and pleasant mid palate, with a great load of fruit (at some point, slightly candied) wrapped with spicy and toasted aromas. Balanced wine with an excellent acidity, ripe tannins and a well integrated sweet touch. Very long and very, very persistent finish.
Elegant and serious wine, complex and intense, and pleasant at the same time. A wine to be enjoyed with the eyes closed.
Intense dark maroon colour with violet reflections. Very high robe and elegant tears that stain the glass.
Complex, expressive, intense and elegant wine with many notes of black and red fruit released along with elegant aromas of violets and fresh balsamic hints. When it opens up, a complex range of spices is displayed (cocoa, mocha, pepper, vanilla, liquorice) along with elegant notes of leather, subtle hints of black olives and good roasted aromas. Its impressive mineral background wraps all these aromas.
All of it is awesome!
Note that this is a wine that takes time to open up, but as time goes by, the explosion of flavours becomes increasingly striking, expressive and intense.
