Clos du Rouge Gorge Hors Champ La Femme Soleil is a biodynamic white wine made with Macabeo from the VDP des Côtes Catalans produced by Clos du Rouge Gorge.
Clos du Rouge Gorge is the small winery run by the young vigneron Cyril Fhal that was founded in 2002. Cyril works his 6 hectares of vineyards, aged from 50 to 100 years old, biodynamically, without using synthetic products, and always vinifies with native yeasts according to the philosophy of minimal intervention, accompanying the processes and allowing the grape and terroir to express themselves fully and finely .
The vineyards for Clos du Rouge Gorge Hors Champ La Femme Soleil are planted on slate soils and are located in Monter and in Latour-de-France. They are harvested manually and the bunches are pressed directly on arriving in the winery, without destemming. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with native yeasts in tanks and in oak barrels, and the wine is aged on lees for about 6 months in these same tanks. Only some 3,500 bottles of this craft wine are made.
Clos du Rouge Gorge Hors Champ La Femme Soleil is a pure, tense and fresh white with excellent fruit.
