Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Citadelle Réserve is a gin produced by the Cognac Ferrand distillery located in France.

This distillery was founded by gentleman Carpeau and Stival in 1775, after getting permission from King Louis XVI. It was, in fact, the first to hold the title of Royal Distillery. In 1989, Maison Ferrand decided to produce a gin that was made the same way as it was two centuries before by returning to follow the tradition that had been lost over the last few years. Today and after five generations, Alexandre Gabriel and Pierre Ferrand are in charge of this great distillery.

As for the production, Alexandre Gabriel surprises us by using the solera process. Today there are few gin brands that are aged in barrels, but there are none that follow the solera method.
To do this, they place the gin for about 2 to 5 months in different American oak barrels and barrels that contained Pineau Charente. After resting in these barrels for months, a percentage of the contents is placed in a new barrel where they are mixed. It is a very limited production.

The label shows the date of distillation, barrel number and bottle number.
