Legardeta Finca de Villatuerta Chardonnay is a white wine from D.O. Navarra produced by Chivite, one of the winery’s with most history in the region. It is a single-variety wine of Chardonnay.

The berries used by Legardeta Finca de Villatuerta Chardonnay come from the vineyards owned by the winery in the town of Villatuerta.
The yield per hectare is quite low, allowing a not so abundant harvest, but certainly of great quality. After the corresponding processes of cultivation and harvesting, the bunches are treated in the winery.
The production process with grapes from Legardeta Finca de Villatuerta Chardonnay follows the traditional methodology used for centuries in Chivite.
Legardeta Finca de Villatuerta Chardonnay ages for six months in French oak barrels with its lees before it is launched on the market.
The ageing of white wines, as is the case, and rosé wines, are one of the main features of the renowned winery Chivite.

The Chivite have created their personal map of the vineyards of Navarre. Some wine regions have to bear the weight of their own prestige and fame, and this is certainly the case for Navarra. For many years, the white and reds produced in this region came second to the rosés produced here with the noble Grenacha variety. However, the last two decades have seen ongoing changes in the wine-making sector in Navarra, changes which have completely transformed the styles of wine produced and have been consistently worthwhile, resulting in  some of the white and red wines produced in Navarra being ranked among best rated in Spain.
