Château la Providence 2012 is a wine with aromas of black fruits, red cherries and a spicy potpourri. The beginning is silky, rich, dense and ripe in the middle, with intense and dark flavours. Its finish is lingering and tannic with light hints of tar, power and considerable delicacy.

Château la Providence is a red wine coupage with Merlot dominating, and a touch of Cabernet Franc. It is a wine from AOC Pomerol, Bordeaux.

Château la Providence is a winery that has been owned by the Moueix family since 2005. It has 4 hectares of land in the centre of the Pomerol plateau. It is worth mentioning that it used to be called Château Tropchaud, but was renamed to its current name in 1928 when it was acquired by the Dupuy family. It currently only produces about 15,000 bottles.

The Château la Providence vineyards are filled with 30-year-old vines on gravel and clay soils. The yield is very low but they do produce a very concentrated and balanced grape. They are harvested by hand and then fermented in stainless steel vats in the winery. Finally, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 18 months. A third of the barrels are renewed annually.

Château la Providence is a red wine that combines beautifully velvety power and sweetness. Tasting shoes that it has a great aging potential.
