Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs is a sparkling wine made by the prestigious Charles Heidsieck maison with the Chardonnay white variety in the AOC Champagne (France).
Charles Heidsieck is one of the great Champagne Maisons. Founded in 1851, they are mainly known for turning their passion for the Chardonnay variety into a reality and being one of the first wineries to release a Blanc de Blancs. It has now merged with sister company Piper-Heidsieck and they work from a new facility on the southern outskirts of Reims where they continue to make world renowned champagne.
Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs comes from a selection of crus from the Côte des Blancs Villers-Margery, Trépail, Vaudemange and Montgueux. These are great terroirs that are traditionally cultivated and harvested at the optimum point of ripeness.
Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs is a blend of 75% wines of the year and 25% reserve wines with an average age of 5 years. Following the champenoise method, this champagne undergoes a second aging in the bottle with its 4-year-old lees. It is then disgorged and expedition liqueur is added with a dosage of 10gr / litre.
Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blancs is a beautiful cuvée made through the art of assembling a wide selection of wines from different vintages and regions. A great champagne where the tension and freshness of the Chardonnay variety are perfectly balanced.
