Chamonard Fleurie is an organic monovarietal Gamay red wine from the AOC Fleurie produced by Domaine Chamonard.

Domaine Chamonard is a small family winery in Beaujolais run by Geneviève Chamonard, daughter of the founder, and her husband Jean-Claude Chanudet. They are committed to making the wines in their plots located in Villié-Morgon according to the natural wine philosophy.

The vineyards for Chamonard Fleurie are about 80 years old and are cultivated in granitic soils according to the principles of organic agriculture. The plots are on slight slopes facing south and southeast so that the vines are aerated, in soils with a good drainage and an orientation that encourages the grapes to ripen and to do so in optimal sanitary conditions.

Chamonard Fleurie is harvested manually and the whole bunches are vatted in order to undergo the carbonic maceration that is typical of Beaujolais. It ferments in concrete vats with native yeasts and then spends about 10-12 months ageing in foudres. It is bottled having been sulphited only once.

Chamonard Fleurie is a red wine that balances its fresh and smooth palate with black berries and a host of spices.
