Bruno Rochard Pièce de la Barrière is an organic and natural, barrel-aged red wine made with the Cabernet Franc variety in the AOC Loire (Loire) by Domaine de Mirebeau.
Bruno Rochard is a winemaker whose main job is working his vineyards and terroir to produce precise and expressive natural wines. A total of 6 hectares in a fantastic domain dating back to the 15th century, that he converted to organic vineyards when he took over.
Bruno Rochard Pièce de la Barrière comes from a 55-year-old vineyard planted on pebble and clay soils. The vines are organically and biodynamically cultivated with minimal intervention, avoiding the use of chemicals, additives and technology. These organic vines have Ecocert certification and a yield of 35 hl / Ha. The harvest is carried out manually and placed in small boxes.
In the winery, the Bruno Rochard Pièce de la Barrière grapes are destemmed and gently pressed to undergo a 21-day maceration. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts and the wine finally ages for 12 months in barrels and 6 months in a stainless steel tank.
Bruno Rochard Pièce de la Barrière is the star wine of Bruno Rochard, made in the Loire (France). A magnificent Cabernet Franc expression.
