Bond Quella 2015 is a concentrated red wine that was bottled at the beginning of 2018. With an attractive garnet purple colour, the nose reveals intense aromas of black fruit like blackcurrants, cherries and blackberries combined with hints of tobacco, truffles, new leather and touches of chalk and undergrowth. On the palate it is muscular, powerful and voluminous. A wine loaded with earthy and mineral layers that ends with lingering salty notes.

Bond Quella is a wood-aged red wine made by the Bond Estate with the Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties in AVA Napa Valley (USA).

Renowned vintner Bill Harlan, who runs Harlan Estate, Meadowood Resort and Napa Valley Reserve, keeps to the same standards at Bond Estate. This project began in 1993 when he took on vineyards in four “grand cru” properties to be cultivated by his large team of winemakers. This was meticulous work aimed at making premium Napa Valley wines.

Bond Quella comes from an exceptional 3.5 hectare vineyard nestled in the hills overlooking the heart of the Napa Valley. The name Quella, which in German means “spring water”, is a slope composed of pebbles, rocks and volcanic ash. The vines are cultivated using very meticulous agriculture, taking care of the environment and limiting yields. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

In the winery, once the best Bond Quella grapes have been selected, they are gently squeezed and maceration and fermentation begins with native yeasts. This wine is then left to age in 225-litre French oak barrels for 18 months.

Originating from a geologically intriguing vineyard, Bond Quella is a very limited production wine that is highly sought after by the greatest wine experts. A collection red that is pure elegance.
