Characteristics Blanc de Seré

Real reviews from customers who have purchased this product

Blanc de Seré is an ecological white wine from D.O Costers del Segre produced by the cooperative L'Olivera. This is a blend of 'free run juice' from the varieties Macabeo, Parellada and Chardonnay.

These different types of grapes used to make Blanc de Seré receive a separate winemaking process and blended together at the end.
The grapes are fermented in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature between 16-18ºC.

Blanc de Seré is aged in the same containers for 6 months before being bottled, then it is left to rest.

L'Olivera is a social cooperative that has over 40 years of experience. They produce wines and oils, looking to always help and integrate people with disabilities, where they participate in every stage of the wine process.

The adventure that started in 1974 in Vallbona de les Monges is now more alive than ever.

Pictures and situation L'Olivera
When we refer to the DO Costers del Segre we think of wines with a continental character, which in some respects is true, but extensive replantation of international grape varieties means that the majority of wines produced here lack a geographical or territorial trademark, even though the vast majority of the wines are technologically perfect. However, there are currently wineries such as Mas Blanch i Jové, Costers del Sio, L’Olivera, Lagravera and Thomas Cusiné, among others, who concentrate their effors on producing wines with what are considered varieties native to the region. However, the majority of this region is still dominated by classic international varieties.
