Barraco Terre Siciliane Catarratto is an orange wine made by Nino Barraco with the Catarratto variety in the IGT Terre Siciliane, in Sicily (Italy).
Nino Barraco is a young winegrower who founded his own project, named after himself, in 2004 in Trapani on the island of Sicily. His wines stand out for being unique, original and clearly marked by the local area, which is the result of his completely artisan and organic methods.
Barraco Terre Siciliane Catarratto comes from vineyards lying 120 metres above sea level. There are about 2 hectares of 25-year-old vines planted in black earth soils that are rich in organic substances. The vines are cultivated using environmentally friendly agriculture and the harvest is carried out manually when the grapes reach optimum ripeness.
In the winery, Barraco Terre Siciliane Catarratto is vinified using ancient methods. This means the selected grapes undergo fermentation and maceration for 4 days in contact with their skins in stainless steel.
Barraco Terre Siciliane Catarratto is a flavoursome and very unique Catarratto made using natural methods. A masterpiece of Italian winemaking.
