Alzinger Grüner Veltliner Mühlpoint Federspiel is a white wine made in Wachau by the Alzinger winery with the Grüner Veltliner variety.

Alzinger is a family winery in Dürnstein, the eastern region of Wachau, that was inherited by Leo in 1970. Previous generations had sold their grapes, but in 1983, Leo decided to make his own wines in his own style. This way of doing things is kept alive by his son, Leo Alzinger Jr., who makes fresh, clear and precise wines.

Alzinger Grüner Veltliner Mühlpoint Federspiel comes from vineyards located in the eastern part of Wachau where the Danube has a climate regulating effect and the complex clay soils include gneiss, granite and shale. They use a cover crop to bring out the individual characteristics of each plot. They work manually, counting on soil fertility and a selective harvest when grapes reach their optimum ripeness.

In the winery, the grapes are pressed and macerated for a short time. Then the must is left to precipitate for 24 hours. Alzinger Grüner Veltliner Mühlpoint Federspiel undergoes alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature.

Alzinger Grüner Veltliner Mühlpoint Federspiel is a white wine that reveals the full nobility and freshness of the Danube terroirs.
