Andreas Tscheppe Gelber Muskateller Segelfalter is a natural white wine made by biodynamic winegrower Andreas Tscheppe with the Muskateller variety in Weinland Österreich, in Styria (Austria).
Andreas Tscheppe is one of the five winemakers that make up the Schmecke das Lebe group in the Austrian Styria region. This is a group that relies on a holistic understanding of nature to make their wines. Guided by careful and sustainable management of the land and the vine, they produce very unique wines that freely express the terroir they come from.
Andreas Tscheppe Gelber Muskateller Segelfalter comes from an organic vineyard that is full of life, where the vines grow alongside insects, plants, herbs and flowers. Following biodynamic principles, the winegrower strives to respond to his surroundings, from the stars to the bacteria in the soil.
After a manual harvest, the Andreas Tscheppe Gelber Muskateller Segelfalter grapes are destemmed and spontaneously fermented in wooden barrels with native yeasts for 18 months. Finally, the wine is bottled without filtering, clarifying or adding sulphites.
Bearing in mind that Andreas Tscheppe is a viticulturist who designs his labels to feature the insects that live in his vineyards, Andreas Tscheppe Gelber Muskateller Segelfalter is the butterfly wine, expressing its origin and terroir with great finesse.
