Its body and its freshness are combined together with subtle smoked and toasted nuances from the barrels. The result is an attractive and personalised flavour.

Intense yellow colour with certain straw-coloured reflections. Very thin and small bubble. Bright, clean and pleasant.

Full of nuances, the grapes and white fruit such as lemons and apples are combined together with slight pleasant smoked hints.

1+1=3 Brut Nature Fermentat en Barrica is a cava produced by the winery Celler U Més U in Guardiola de Font Rubí, D.O. Cava.

 

Celler U Més U is the name of the project created in 2000 by Josep Anton Bonell and oenologist Josep Piñol, in the Masia Navinés (Guardiola de Font Rubí).

Their philosophy is commitment to the land and love for the vines. This, alongside their passion for their work, results in attractive, elegant, modern and pleasant wines.

The winery Celler U Més U is located in the heart of Penedés. They cultivate almost all their vineyards organically, giving importance to the native varieties, without leaving behind the international ones that have adjusted to the region so well.

 

1+1=3 Brut Nature Fermentat en Barrica is a cava made from Xarel·lo and Chardonnay from their own vineyards.

The grapes are manually harvested and placed in boxes. Once they arrive at the winery, the grapes are destemmed and pressed. Once the cold settling process has ended, the must ferments in new French oak barrels. Then, it is aged on its lees for 6 months with periodic batonnages. After this, it is bottled and it starts the second fermentation. This wine is aged for a minimum of 30 months. The disgorgement is carried out without liqueur d'expédition.

 

1+1=3 Brut Nature Fermentat en Barrica is a mature, unctuous and extremely ample cava. Its stands out for its prevailing notes of the ageing, roasted notes of the barrel that are complemented by the aromas of dried nuts and unctuous notes.

Cava was born under the constant shadow of its French counterpart, Champagne. However, produced over 1,200km away and a gap of over 100 years, Cava was always going to be a completely different product, even if produced using the same method and and sometimes with the same varieties. Firstly the climate and soil have a profound impact on the yields, while the plant strains that thrive here and completely different to those in the Champagne region. Fortunately, as more winemakers are becoming convinced of this, they are producing Cavas with their own personality, showing off the art of the second fermentation in the bottle like no other wine region in the world.
