About Suertes del Marqués La Floridita

In the heart of the Valle de La Orotava, surrounded by the volcanic landscapes of Tenerife, Suertes del Marqués embodies the spirit of Canarian viticulture. Since 2006, this family-run winery has embraced tradition, cultivating century-old ungrafted vines using a unique system: the Cordón Trenzado. Here, indigenous varieties, such as listán negro and listán blanco, emerge from the volcanic soil, with utmost respect for the environment, from hand harvesting to vinification in French oak foudres.
 
Suertes del Marqués La Floridita is a rosé wine that carries the history of the Valley in its genes. Sourced from 90-year-old vines in the El Ciruelo plot, at an altitude of 500 metres, it is crafted through a late bleeding of listán negro, with a small portion of listán blanco. Fermented in barrels with native yeasts and aged for 3 months, it is a wine of unique elegance, fresh and vibrant, with a brilliant acidity and a mineral touch that reflects the singularity of the volcanic soil.
 
Suertes del Marqués La Floridita is not just a wine, it is a journey through the centuries, a celebration of the passion and dedication of generations of winemakers. Each sip connects us with a landscape as majestic as the wine it produces.
 
In 2022, Suertes del Marqués was once again recognised as one of the 100 Best Wineries in the World by the prestigious publication Wine & Spirits, repeating the accolade of 2019 and 2021. This recognition places the winery among the greats, reaffirming its leadership as the foremost ambassador of Canarian wines, present in over 40 countries. The only one from the Canary Islands on this exclusive list, Suertes del Marqués is a gem of quality and authenticity.
