About Clos i Terrasses Laurel

Laurel is an excellent wine from the D.O Priorat produced by the winery Clos i Terrasses.

Clos i Terrasses is the winery of Daphne Glorian, considered as one the main figures for the recovery of wines during the 80's in Priorat. Glorian is known to produce one of the most prestigious wines of the Priorat: Clos Erasmus, a wine that earnt 100 Parker points in two consecutive years, 2004 2005.

Laurel is aged for 21 months in cone shaped French oak barrels where the Clos Erasmus was aged beforehand.

A wine from Priorat very fruity, complex and with a delicious minerality.

The younger brother of the Clos Erasmus, a marvellous wine that is 4 times cheaper than his older brother.

2022

Clos i Terrasses Laurel 2022 exhibits a brilliant cherry hue with a violet rim. On the nose, it exudes elegance with aromas of ripe fruits such as plums and cherries, complemented by hints of wild herbs that add complexity. On the palate, it is a well-balanced wine, with a concentrated profile and a fruity aftertaste that entices continued enjoyment. Its subtle spiciness and robust body make it an intriguing choice for those seeking a wine with character.                      
2021

Clos i Terrasses Laurel 2021 is a red wine that, on the nose, exhibits a faint lactic nuance indicative of its youthfulness, which swiftly dissipates to reveal profound fruity scents (ripe black fruits) and a delicate floral stroke reminiscent of violets. On the palate, it commands with vigor and grace. A red wine with velvety tannins, it is refreshing and harmoniously balanced, embodying the quintessence of Priorat, yet with the refinement and delicacy it consistently delivers. Essential.
2019

Laurel 2019 is a mature red wine with aromas of black fruits, notes of compote and toasted hints. On the palate it’s fruity, mysterious and voluminous. A medium to full-bodied wine with silky tannins, present acidity and a long, balsamic finish.
2018

Laurel Magnum 2018 is a sophisticated red wine. It presents an elegant bouquet, rich in fruit aromas, complemented by herbaceous undertones. This fruity essence persists on the palate, highlighted by red berry nuances. It boasts a medium body and a smooth texture, with exquisitely fine tannins. The oak aging is seamlessly integrated, resulting in an effortlessly enjoyable and delightful wine.
2012 Bulky and powerful attack. A fleshy red wine, with abundant fruity aromas, very tasty, with an unctuous palate. Excellent acidity and ripe tannins. Long, balanced and very persistent finish.

Dark cherry colour with violet reflections. High robe, bright with abundant tears on the glass.

Intense, expressive and concentrated aromas, round and enjoyable. Black fruit prevails and then gives way to floral notes, spices, toasted notes (which after a while become more roasted) and deep mineral nuances.
2010 It shows a bulky and powerful attack. A fleshy red wine, with abundant fruity aromas, very tasty and with an unctuous mid palate. It shows an excellent acidity and a ripe tannic sensation. Long and very persistent balanced finish.

Highly intense, round, expressive and concentrated pleasant nose. Its aromas of ripe black fruit are dominant but they give way to some flower notes, spices, toasted aromas (which turn into roasted after a while) and deep mineral nuances.
