About Heinrich Naked White

Heinrich Naked White is a white wine blend of chardonnay, pinot blanc, and other local white grape varieties, crafted by the Weingut Heinrich winery under the Burgenland designation in Austria.

The clusters used to produce this "naked white" wine are sourced from vineyards located on both sides of Lake Neusiedl. The western side features soils composed of limestone and schist from the slopes of the Leitha Mountains, while on the eastern side of the lake, the vines are cultivated in soils rich in humus-laden gravel. The plots are managed following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, with the harvest conducted manually from late August to mid-September.

Upon arrival at the winery, the whole clusters undergo overnight maceration and ferment spontaneously with their native yeasts. The resulting wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is then aged on its fine lees for 14 months in large used oak barrels. Finally, the wine is bottled unfiltered, unfined, and without added sulphur.
