Tasting notes GauGin Mountain 1,5L
Gin (Magnum).
GauGin Mountain is a gin with a botanical and Mediterranean profile, crystalline and luminous like the clear mountain air at dawn. On the nose, it opens with elegant intensity, where juniper sets the pace and allows space for a landscape of wild herbs—rosemary, sage, thyme, and lavender—interwoven with a citrus burst of fresh orange. On the palate, it enters with balance and an immediate sensation of freshness, unfolding herbal layers reminiscent of a stroll through low scrubland after the rain. The finish is dry, slightly resinous and mineral, akin to a sun-warmed stone, leaving a clean and serene trace that invites a leisurely moment, one that requires no haste.
About GauGin Mountain 1,5L
There are occasions when the plan isn't fully outlined, yet you know it will end well: a terrace at dusk, music playing unobtrusively, and that balance between spontaneity and meticulousness where everything falls into place. GauGin Mountain is a gin seemingly crafted for precisely such moments.
GauGin Mountain originates in the vicinity of Gaucín (Málaga, Spain), amidst rolling hills and wild vegetation, on an estate where herbs aren't selected in a laboratory, but grow to the natural rhythm of the landscape. Behind it lies a philosophy of distillation that connects with something more ancient: routes, alchemy, and knowledge that journeyed from the East to the Mediterranean, and here they are reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective, without losing authenticity.
The Mountain version of GauGin is crafted from herbal elements, yet without rigidity. Juniper sets the pace, while rosemary, sage, thyme, and lavender appear as layers that integrate naturally, accompanied by a citrus hint of orange that adds freshness and balance. Everything is produced in small batches, with slow macerations and unhurried distillation, as if time were an ingredient. The result is not a gin that shouts, but one that flows: complex, yet easy to comprehend; precise, yet without tension.
GauGin Mountain fits especially well in those types of plans where no one seeks to impress, but everything exudes style: a shared table, well-served glasses, warm lighting, and conversations that ebb and flow. It is, at its core, that little gem of the evening that seems unassuming but is full of intent... and that's where it truly remains.
