Domaine Huet Vouvray Pétillant Brut is an organic sparkling wine made by Domaine Huet with the Chenin Blanc variety in the AOC Vouvray, a denomination located in the Loire (France).
Founded in 1928 by Victor and his son Gaston Huet, Domaine Huet is one of the pioneering wineries of biodynamic cultivation in the French vineyard. With 35 hectares divided into three main properties, La Haut Lieu, Le Mont and Clos du Bourg, on the right bank of the Loire, their wines stand out for their unique character and for preserving the typicity of their terroirs.
Domaine Huet Vouvray Pétillant Brut comes from a 10-year-old Chenin Blanc vineyard. These vines are planted in calcareous clay soils and are cultivated according to ecological principles. No herbicides, pesticides or any other systematic chemicals are used. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.
In the winery, Domaine Huet Vouvray Pétillant Brut firstly ferments in demi-muids and stainless steel tanks. It is then bottled to begin a second fermentation and the bottles are stored underground at 12ºC for more than 9 months on lees. This is a sparkling wine with 12 grams per litre of natural sugars.
Domaine Huet Vouvray Pétillant Brut is an elegant sparkling wine made by combining three very unusual terroirs that define the unique character of this Chenin Blanc from the Loire.
