About Bancal del Bosc

Bancal del Bosc is a red wine produced by Vinyes Domènech in the D.O. Montsant.

The winery is located in a protected natural space located between the mountains of Llaberia and Montalt, in Capçanes, in the south of Priorat (Tarragna).

Bancal del Bosc is a blend of the varieties Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.

The grapes originate from vines located at 450 to 500 meters above sea level, planted in deep soils on a slope.

The winery practices organic agriculture, as certified by Consell Català de la producció Agrària Ecològica (CCPAE).

For production, the wine is fermented for 15 days below 29ºC. Bancal del Bosc is aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels.

2020

Bancal del Bosc 2020 is a young, bright cherry red wine. On the nose, wild red and black fruits (strawberry tree cherries, sloes) appear first, giving way to herbaceous touches (thyme, mastic and juniper). On the palate it is sweet, and full of red fruits and liquorice, finishing with a saline touch. Lively finish. 
2014 Full-flavoured and fleshly. Unctuous, fruity sensation, spicy and a pleasant freshness. Persistent finish.

Intense garnet red with purple reflections.

Good aromatic intensity with a predominance of red fruits, accompanied by herbal notes and fine spicy and balsamic touches.
2013 Creamy and full-flavoured. Unctuous, red fruits over a balsamic and herbal base. Very fresh. Long finish.

Intense garnet red with purple tones.

Medium-high intensity. Pronounced aromas of red fruit on a light balsamic base with an abundance of herbal notes.
