About Atance Bobal

There is something profoundly sincere about wines that do not seek to draw attention, and here that concept naturally takes shape.
 
In the heart of Valencia, amidst dry-farmed hills and bush-trained vineyards basking in the sun without pretence, emerges Risky Grapes, a venture that aims not to sound solemn, but rather genuine. Behind it is the Sarrión family, a name associated with some of the great wines of Levante (DOP El Terrerazo), who here decide to alter the pace: crafting wines that are freer, more approachable, designed to be enjoyed without too many rules.
 
Atance Bobal is born from this well-understood simplicity. Indigenous grapes cultivated organically, old vines, and a gentle production process that scarcely intervenes, allowing the fruit to express itself clearly. In the glass, it presents as straightforward and juicy, with an impression of fresh, almost crisp red fruit, and a lightness that is surprising in a variety that usually appears more serious than it does here. There is a sense of open countryside, of dry and clean air, accompanying each sip without weighing it down.
 
Atance Bobal fits seamlessly into everyday moments that require no explanation: a simple table, something fresh from the fire, or simply the pleasure of making a good choice without overthinking it.
