The answer embodies the spirit of Rioja 'n' Roll: a more liberated, sincere, and artisanal approach to wine, born from a notion as simple as it is powerful, In grapes we trust. Among those who found in this movement the perfect platform to advocate for an alternative way of doing things are Óscar Alegre and Eva Valgañón, two viticulturists who heed the land more than trends. 
 
From the slopes of Rioja Alta, in a place perched between the Tirón River and the Jembres cliffs, Óscar and Eva tend to small plots where each vineyard retains its own narrative. In locales like Sajazarra, at an altitude of around 600 metres, the landscape sets the pace: cold winters, mountain nights, and an Atlantic influence that imparts freshness and character. There, they cultivate their vines with a patient and respectful outlook, allowing the viura, garnacha blanca, rojal, and calagraño varieties to express the essence of a territory they know profoundly.
 
Alegre Valgañón Blanco is born from this understanding of wine: unadorned and unrushed. The manual harvest and meticulous care of each cluster aim to preserve the fruit's purity, while its maturation in concrete, wood, and on its own lees imparts an enveloping texture and elegant depth. In the glass, it appears fresh and luminous, with hints of white fruit, citrus, delicate flowers, and a mineral sensation reminiscent of the landscape from which it originates.
