About Vermouth Dos Deus Estrelles

Adapting new recipes to modern times. The current owners of Cellers Bellmunt del Priorat have been immersed in this task since 1998. From the laboratory on the upper floor of these wineries in Tarragona (in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula) new blends and combinations are investigated, without ever forgetting about history and tradition. From this research, Vermouth Dos Deus Estrelles came into being.

Vermouth Dos Deus Estrelles is made in a very special way from a blend of 80% reserve vermouth and 20% vermouth matured for 1 year in barrels following the solera system. This base wine (which reaches 50º of alcohol) is macerated with a secret blend of different herbs (Cretan dictamo, artemisa pointica, satureja hortensis and gentian) for two months. After this time the macerate is pressed and the natural liquid extract is obtained, which is mixed with white wine and mistela. Finally, Vermouth Dos Deus Estrelles is aged in barrels for maturation.
