Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva 2016 graces the glass with the sophistication acquired over the years: ripe dark fruits enveloped in a hint of nougat and cocoa, reminiscent of a winter evening by the fire. The oak, seamlessly integrated after its prolonged rest in barrel, imparts nuances of toasted biscuit that gently caress the aroma. On the palate, it unfolds with a silky depth, its tamed tannins supporting a lively acidity, leaving a lingering trail that extends with poise and character. A classic Rioja that whispers ancient tales, inviting you to savour it unhurriedly, sip by sip.

About Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva

Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva is a red wine from the Rioja D.O region, produced by the Ramón Bilbao winery. The winery is located in the town of Haro (La Rioja Alta), a historic place in Spanish vitculture as it is home to the largest number of wineries in Spain.

Ramón Billbao Gran Reserva is made using Tempranillo (90%), Graciano (5%) and Garnacha (5%) grapes. The grapes come from plots in and surrounding Haro (Las Arogues, La Llana, San Prudencio…)

The winemaking process begins with the harvest and manual selection of the grapes during the 3rd week of October. Once the fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature, the wine is aged for 30 months in American oak barrels. After being bottled, the wine spends 36 months ageing underground.

On the palate, it is harmoniously balanced, with a silky texture that unfurls the elegance of its polished tannins and a lingering finish that beckons one to continue savoring its complexity. This red wine is a testament to the subtle maturity that only patience and time can bestow.

Ramón Bilbao Gran Reserva 2014 is a concentrated red wine with a fragrant nose of red and black fruit, spicy notes, and hints of vanilla and coconut. In the mouth, it is long, persistent, and voluminous. A medium to full-bodied wine with present acidity and refined tannins. The finish is long and lasting.
2008 A robust, velvety, and immersive entry. Delightful and flavorsome palate with an abundance of ripe red fruit. Well-balanced acidity with seamlessly integrated tannins. Lengthy and enduring finish.

Garnet red with ruby highlights. Clear and luminous.

Scents of ripe red fruit intermingled with toasted and balsamic nuances. Hints of fortified wine and tobacco.
