About Laurona Tinto
Mític de Laurona is a red wine from Montsant produced by the Laurona winery. It is a blend in which the Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Carignan varieties predominate.
The grapes used for Mític de Laurona come from old vines over 50 years old.
After harvesting, Mític de Laurona goes through a process of fermentation in tanks of 50 hl capacity.
Then maceration takes place, during which constant movements occur and pumpings for optimum extraction.
Mític de Laurona is finally aged for around one year in French oak barrels of 500 liters capacity before also resting in bottle.
The Laurona winery uses plots in Falset, Marca, El Molar, La Figuera and Darmós. The wines of the winery are noted for combining modernity with tradition.
