Argentina red wine
Arguably among the finest red wines globally!
Their cultivation in the higher regions (between 500 and 1500 metres), where they receive significant sun exposure, imparts a high polyphenol content, resulting in delightful balsamic sensations and pronounced minerality.
Intense, flavourful, and unparalleled. Argentine red wines not only captivate palates worldwide but are also regarded as some of the healthiest wines globally.
Varieties for Argentine red wine.
Indeed, after a lean period, Argentine red wines are re-emerging on the global stage, continuing a tradition initiated by Spanish settlers in the 16th century that should never have been lost. The Argentine red wines of yesteryear, almost watery and overly mild, have given way to dense red wines with intense aromas, predominantly crafted from malbec. This French variety, which arrived in the Americas in the 19th century, adapted perfectly to the country's extreme conditions (with scarce rainfall and frost risks), producing red wines with good acidity, refined and elegant, capable of ageing for extended periods. However, although malbec is the queen, Argentine red wines offer much more. Varietals such as bonarda, torrontés riojano, or mendocino also contribute to this rich tradition.
Discover our selection of Argentine red wines and indulge in their unique flavour!
