About Viña Salceda La Rellanilla

In La Rioja Alavesa, nestled between the Sierra de Cantabria and the Sierra de la Demanda, the Ebro River meanders through a valley perfectly suited for viticulture. It is here that Viña Salceda La Rellanilla is born. 
 
Viña Salceda La Rellanilla is a village wine, crafted from tempranillo, deriving its name from La Rellanilla, a 5.5-hectare plot planted in 2020 in Laguardia. In this locale, the vines inhale the humid air of the northern Atlantic and the dry, extreme nuances that waft from the Meseta. Here, the vines thrive at an elevation of 658 metres on predominantly clay-limestone soils. The prevailing Atlantic climate imparts moisture and cooler temperatures compared to the other terroirs of the DOCa. Rioja. 
 
Viña Salceda La Rellanilla is harvested and produced with whole grapes, fermented at low temperatures and aged for six months in concrete tanks on its fine lees. 
 
Each bottle of Viña Salceda La Rellanilla encapsulates the uniqueness of Laguardia, blending the freshness of the Atlantic climate with the richness of its soils, resulting in an authentic, balanced, and expressive wine that faithfully represents the essence of La Rioja Alavesa.

Its tannins are smooth, contributing to a balanced structure thanks to a well-integrated acidity.
